Received the proofs so can finally say: I’m delighted to have an essay in July’s issue of Fortnight, the North of Ireland’s oldest, continuous magazine of politics, art, & culture. It’s about translation as transgression, but also hope; it’s abt 2 places I love: Mexico & Ireland Can’t wait to share!

granting no space to think or feel, why did the soft, indolent earth thus greet me with the shock of a steel plate? did the soft earth turn to steel only to show me my own softness? that nature might bring home to me

Since coming off suspension, I have left them alone and been relatively silent about them, and they have labeled my account 3 times with their labeler, and now they randomly block me, which is weird and potentially meant to antagonize, as I was already blocked. I'm the problem tho....

Not everyone will see value in what I post, and that's OK.

Others might see my ideas as confrontation or a sales pitch, it isn't, but I understand.

We as people tend to incorporate our identity into our beliefs and vice versa. Rejection of other worldviews is common.

We're 6 episodes in to Spider-noir and my one, minor, quibble is the noir to spider ratio.
It's a fantastic, ptch perfect, homage to noir, but not a lot of spidery action.
I would love them to do the prequel series, post war, spideying just for the adventure.
