The Perfect Woman (1949) is only marginally science fiction. There's a female humanoid robot but she's not in it a great deal and the rest is a rather long-in-the-tooth and only fitfully amusing comedy that must have seemed dated even in 1949.

Well, I got about four hours of sleep and about six hours of fitfully dozing through back pain.

But that wasn't all the back's fault: the temporal disolacation's pretty brutal. JST has me waking up exactly when I would go to bed in the UK.
