A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985) kinda feels like a precursor to more recent "elevated" horror movies, but sloppily made as a slasher sequel in the mid-80s, so doomed to fail.

To its credit it does remind us not to buy cheap birdseed, a message that we should all take to heart.
