Finished Liddel-Hart's First World War and have moved on to his tome on the Second.
Immediately the typesetting has become tighter and a latent feeling of "now in the postwar it is obvious we fought the wrong opponent" which poisons this and similar works (depending on author)

Until now I've been training a self-play policy Ļ€(a|s) to pick actions from state. Now a twist: Ļ€(a|s,z). We introduce a latent "play call" z that guides decisions over multiple steps—like strategy injected into the policy. Essentially this is an AI coach.
