Under the current administration the Endangered Species Act has basically been destroyed. No surprise but large corps are now able to create greater devastation of wildlands in the U.S. in their pursuit of profits.

We need to inundate Congress with protests. We need to support lawsuits. #Action

While in Resolute Bay, Nunavut this spring, I discovered something troubling. The community is preparing for an increasingly likely disaster: a tsunami-like wave, caused by the thawing permafrost, that could inundate it with icy Arctic water with no warning. With @natashabulowski.bsky.social.

Now Lala is bearing down on Papahānaumokuākea—one of Earth’s great ocean refuges. Hurricane winds and waves could inundate low-lying atolls, batter coral reefs, and erase vital nesting and pupping habitat for seabirds, green turtles and endangered Hawaiian monk seals. And El Niño is just ramping up.
