This is one of the best negative reviews I've read of a book in a while. Most of the criticism against cozy SFF (that I often agree with) is written with a lot of sardonic disdain that doesn't sit right with me, but not here. Worth the read

"Well that's an accident but nobody was hurt" is Duvall at his sardonic best. Hagen's supposed to be this above the board "not a wartime consigliere" lawyer but when mike's squeeze shows up and asks about a demolition derby car he gaslights so reflexively you almost believe his mobster bullsh!t
