어릴 때 GRE 단어집을 외우도록 강요받았는데 오직 iconoclast와 idiosyncrasy 두 단어만 기억에 남아있다 현실에서 한 번도 안 쓴 단어여서 그런듯 그러나 요즈음 이스라엘 및 ‘서방’ 국가 하는 꼬라지 보며 30년만에 처음으로 iconoclast와 idiosyncrasy도 쓰일 데가 있구나 했다 외운 보람이 있다
