Aah, midweek matchday.
The usual sense of anticipation, a sharp finish from work and into town for a few midweek pre (and post) match beers has been replaced by antipathy and dread.
I dont actually intend to watch a minute of tonight's game, not in person and not on telly. It will be embarrassing.

I really hate reducing politics to this stuff but it's so transparent when antipathy towards various ostensible political groupings (anarchists, "tankies," even social democrats etc.) is driven almost entirely by personal resentments
