See when I feel like making a pithy remark about something, I'm doing it for my own benefit, a venting of thoughts. So I absolutely do not get people who quote their take into the replies of a much bigger post (when, again, it doesn't add new info, but is just a loose thought about a thing)

One of my longtime clients had a pithy saying about problems not if his group's making..."the turd is in your pocket."

That's Europe's reaction to Trump's pleas for support: the turd is in your pocket. It's your problem, and we're not going to make it ours.
